One of the newest arrivals to the Homebreakin’ family, Ivan Rankic is one of the hardest working DJs around. After 2 years of busting his ass at minimum wage jobs, ( including a short stint at a telecommunications company, working along side Wax Romeo ) Ivan has really been making a name for himself lately on Calgary’s club scene.

Ivan, who is way smarter then your average  raver, started his DJ career playing for his Mom and the family’s pet bird. Now though, you can  find him DJing in tons of Calgary’s best bars & clubs.

To know and understand who this Ivan Rankic guy is, it’s imperative to know these things; his favorite food is bacon, his favorite DJ is Lorne B, his least favorite DJ is his sister’s ipod, his feelings toward people named John are mixed, as he hates John Cusak but loves John Goodman. The first record that Ivan ever bought was Dr. Funkenstein by Parliament, and the last record he ever bought was Clear Serato.

In recent news, Ivan was named “Rave King”, a title that he is super excited to add to his growing list of honours. When Ivan isn’t scavenging record stores for disco treasures, and delivering them on dance floors across the city, his Highness enjoys punching bees and blowing up double cheeseburgers with fireworks, preferably while hanging out on mountainsides.
