The latest mix in the Giant 45 Mix sessions popped up today, and it comes from our very own Longhairs GSD & Ivan Rankic. Brought to you by Calgary’s premier clothing & music lifestyle boutique Giant 45, the series has already featured mixes from our nice friends Dan Solo & A-Mac. The Longhairs entry definitely brings a more Discofied, houseified vibe to the series in classic Homebreakin fashion. Keep an eye out for future volumes, i heard the next one is coming from MC Mario… or Limahl.
The first release from Punchout! Digital is out now. It features two new tracks from Neighbour & a Neighbourhood Romeo ( Neighbour & Wax Romeo) jam as well. You can grab it only @ Juno Download for the next two weeks, then… anywhere your heart desires. While your at it grab Audit‘s latest release which has been storming the Juno & Turntable Lab charts since it’s release on June 10th.
Spiltmilk (he’s a DJ and a video maker guy!?!?) sent over his newly finished video, for the classic “Slingshot Boogie” by our good friends All Good Funk Alliance, which just so happens to feature our own Think Tank on vocals. Check it on the Homebreakin Youtube page. He also just posted a killer new mix up on his Soundcloud page. Check that. + He played in Saskatoon last night, is playing in Edmonton tomorrow (Jun 18) with Mr. Sofalumpkins & Dr. Funkinchunkin, and is playing the North Country fair the next day. Check those. Jesus.

Audit steps his game up as he brings us the fourth release from Punchout! Recordings. This four track EP starts off perfectly with the slow your roll stomper “Sounds so Sweet“, which is co-produced by the New Zealand firm handshake champion Normski. It’s a real head-nodding jam chopped up just right, almost slap-chopped up just right. Next up, “Pushin on Rub“, is more classic Audit production featuring a great Redman sample, and great use of what sounds almost like an old female blues vocal, very P-Funk, super hype. The first track on the B side is “Disco Ting” which sees the Boogie influence of Audits new Homebreakin family mesh seamlessly with his unmistakable sound to make a track that could be the first track on any number of A sides out there, watch out for the killer bongo break, you might just get hurt. Last but definitely not least, “Yes Ya’ll” features a thiiiiiiick bass-line backing up a great guitar lick, and classic vocals from…. well, we’ll let you figure that out
You have nothing to worry about, Audit is officially back.
